China:Whole Country is Red (Block Of Four)
The stamp of “Whole Country is Red” was originally scheduled to issue on November 25, 1968.
Because all the provincial postal administrations were informed of the sale time by telephone, some postal administrations put the stamps on sale the moment they received them. After the sales in advance in Beijing post offices, a comrade from Beijing Cartographic Publishing House reflected that the boundary line of the map on the stamp did not match that on the map of China published at that time and the South China Sea islands of our country were not marked either. The leaders of Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications quickly ordered the Stamp Issuing Bureau to
notify immediately all post offices of provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions to recover and destroy all the stamps Whole Country is Red. The quantity of this withdrawn stamp is scarce, and many of them are single. It is the first time that the China National Post and Postage Stamp Museum offers the block of four to be displayed on major stamp exhibition.
